Backup & Restore

monodit lets you back up and restore your full setup as a single JSON file.

Backup

A backup captures your current setup and downloads it as monodit-workspace.json. It includes:

• All spaces, layouts, and widget configurations
• Custom widget and theme source code
• Routing rules and display settings

Bucket data — text bucket contents and uploaded asset files — is not included in the backup.

Restore

You can restore from a previously downloaded backup file. Restoring replaces your current setup entirely with the contents of the file.

For signed-in accounts, the restored state is saved to your account immediately after loading.
