Sync
When you are signed in, workspace changes are saved to your account automatically. There is no manual save button — every change is persisted as you work.
How auto-save works
Changes are synced to the server with a short delay after each edit. When you exit edit mode, any pending changes are flushed immediately.
Before each server save, changes are written to a local draft. If a save fails due to a network issue, the draft is preserved and the sync status icon in the edit toolbar will indicate that sync is not current. Changes upload once the connection is restored.
Multiple devices
If the same account is edited on multiple devices simultaneously and a version mismatch is detected, monodit surfaces a conflict prompt. You can choose to keep either the local version or the server version. The discarded version is backed up locally before it is cleared.
Guest data and cloud data
If you have been building in Guest Mode and then sign into an account that already has cloud data, monodit loads the cloud workspace and leaves the guest workspace untouched.
Guest work is only migrated into the account when the account workspace is empty. If both exist, cloud takes priority.
Before clearing local guest data, monodit backs it up in the browser so it is not permanently lost.
