Imports

monodit supports importing widgets and themes from external files. Imports are portable — they package metadata and source code together in a single markdown-based file.

What can be imported

• Widgets (.monodit-widget.md)
• Themes (.monodit-theme.md)

Where to import

You can import from the widgets menu or themes menu using the import option. You can also install directly from the Discover tab, which handles the import flow automatically.

After importing

Imported widgets and themes are fully editable. You can:

• edit the source code directly
• revise them using built-in LLM skills
• pass them into Dit as a draft or reference
